Cookie Policy

Effective date: 24 September 2026
Last updated: 24 September 2026

This policy explains what Webmiqo stores on your device and why. It covers cookies and anything that works like a cookie — local storage, session storage and similar techniques.

The short version: we store what the service needs to function, plus a minimal, anonymous measurement of where the product flow breaks. We do not use advertising cookies, we do not track you across other websites, and we do not share what we store with advertising networks.

What we store

Strictly necessary

These are required for the service to work. Without them you cannot sign in or stay signed in. They do not require consent.

WhatPurposeTypeLifetime
Authentication sessionKeeps you signed in and identifies your workspace on each requestCookieUntil you sign out or the session expires
Prompt handoverCarries the description you typed before signing in, so that it is not lost. Encrypted; readable only by the serverCookieShort-lived, cleared once used

Product measurement

WhatPurposeTypeLifetime
Flow identifierA random identifier that lets us join the steps of a single visit together, so that we can see where the first-website flow succeeds or stallsSession storageCleared when you close the browser tab

This identifier is random, is not linked to your account or to any advertising profile, does not follow you to other websites, and is discarded when the tab closes. The events it accompanies carry fixed labels only — which step, and whether it succeeded — and never business content, names or free text. We use it solely to find and fix broken parts of the product.

What we do not use

No advertising or remarketing cookies. No third-party trackers or pixels. No cross-site tracking. No session replay, heat maps or behavioural profiling. No fingerprinting for measurement purposes.

We do use a keyed fingerprint derived from an IP address on public contact forms, purely to stop duplicate and automated submissions. That is a security measure, not a measurement one, and it is described in the Privacy Policy.

Websites we publish for our customers

The websites Webmiqo publishes are built to work without cookies unless the site owner adds something that needs them. If you are a Webmiqo customer and you add a service that sets cookies — an embedded map, a video, an analytics tool — you are responsible for the consent that service requires.

Managing what is stored

You can clear cookies and storage through your browser settings, and block them entirely. If you block the strictly necessary items you will not be able to sign in.

Changes

We update this policy when what we store changes. The effective date above reflects the current version.
